What is Thrive?

Posted on August 24, 2016 by Kathryn Kitchen

Thrive is a mighty team of 4 well-trained individuals, plus the occasional intern, with diverse backgrounds and expertise in several areas of health. The program, previously known as OKHealth, revolves around six pillars of well-being: financial, emotional, community, social, physical and purpose. Along with our new name, our new and improved mission at Thrive is to empower State of Oklahoma employees to be fearless, fulfilled, valued and engaged at work and in life. You can read more about our 6 pillars in the About Us section on our website.

Since all of us at Thrive all have different areas of well-being we focus on, our diverse knowledge provides us with a variety of experiences and perspectives. We believe in order to achieve overall health you must look beyond only physical traits. Each aspect of health should be addressed equally for a person to thrive. By combining our knowledge and expertise, we aim to bring materials (blogs, presentations, handouts, toolkits, etc.) and programs focused on increasing state employee’s overall health and well-being.

The purpose of writing and sharing our blogs is to share our experiences with you, and to generate awareness of how the 6 pillars of well-being are applicable in everyone’s everyday lives. We hope that as you regularly read our blogs and provide feedback, our relationship will grow and the more engaged you’ll be in our programs.
