Let’s Get Walking in October

I look forward to this time of year when the air is more crisp and leaves are beginning to change.  October is recognized as  National Walking Month which focuses on gettng people to make a habit of walking which gives you energy and improves health.

Susan Robinson is a program coordinator for "Thrive," and has been with the state employee wellness program since 2006. She earned a Bachelor’s in Fitness and Wellness Management and Master’s in Education from Southern Nazarene University and a Doctorate of Education in Health Promotion from Oklahoma State University. Her certifications include, Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Certified Personnel Professional (CPP), and Certified Public Manager (CPM). She received a Governor’s Commendation for planning and implementing a state-wide immunization program for state employees and their families that began in 2013. Prior to her time with OMES, Susan worked and taught in higher education at universities in Oklahoma and Kansas. Her hobbies include exercising, singing in her church choir, and traveling.
